The April 8 ordinary meeting of Chisinau City Hall officials was interrupted by MP Ion Ceban, of the parliamentary group of Socialists. He entered the meeting half and demanded that a number of functionaries should resign, IPN reports.
The mentioned public servants were: deputy mayor Nistor Grozavu, head of the Public Amenities Division Petru Gontea, and acting head of the Architecture Division Radu Blaj. Ion Ceban said he can provide evidence to prove over 50 cases of illegal building in Chisinau. Meanwhile, a group of supporters of the Party of Socialists protested in front of the City Hall.
Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca left the assembly hall for a while together with the division heads. When they returned, they asked Ion Ceban to leave the hall, saying his seat of MP does not allow him to break the law. The mayor instructed the Law Division head Diana Gurschi to file a complaint to the police against Ion Ceban for disrupting the meeting.
