Motion to dismiss Lupu among highlights of Parliament's Thursday agenda

A motion by the Communist Party to dismiss Speaker Marian Lupu is among the highlights of Thursday's agenda of Parliament, which will assemble for its first meeting of the fall/winter session. Another Communist motion to be considered today by Parliament is the proposal to hold a referendum on Moldova's accession to the founding treaties of the Eurasian Economic Community. The agenda also features an amendment to the 2012 Law on the Social Insurance Budget. Further, Parliament will consider an amendment to the Law on Benefits for Temporary Incapacity for Work and other Social Security Benefits. At the next meeting on Friday, Parliament is to consider the 2012-2015 ICT Sector Development Strategy and the 2012-2015 Civil Society Development Strategy. The legislature will also consider the Ministry of Transportation's Bill on Inland Naval Transportation.
