A woman and her son were found dead in their own house. According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, preliminary examinations show the two were poisoned by carbon monoxide emitted by the stove, IPN reports.

The tragedy happened in Miciurin village of Drochia district on October 23. The woman aged 46 and her 24-year-old son were discovered by the other son of the woman.

The exact circumstances of the incident are yet to be established. The Civil Protection and Emergencies Service warns the population to obey the rules of using stoves and electrical heating appliances. Firemen recommend using only checked sources of heating and repairing the defective devices before using them during the heating season.
