Most of Russians in Moldova voted for Putin’s party

More than 38,000 Russian citizens who live or stay in Moldova on a temporary basis voted for Vladimir Putin’s United Russia party in the December 4 State Duma elections, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the Russian Embassy in Moldova, United Russia polled 74.19% of the votes cast in Moldova. Almost 52,000 voters took part in the elections, by over 4,000 more than in the 2007 elections. 414 ballots were declared invalid. The elections held in Moldova, including the Transnistrian region, were validated, with the voter turnout being high, says the communiqué from the Embassy.
