Monument dedicated to 2 soldiers of Nistru fights inaugurated in Balti
The monument of 2 soldiers fallen in the combats on Nistru was inaugurated on Saturday, June 17, in Balti. The action was organized by the National Union of Independence War Veterans (NUIWV).
Eduard Maican, the president of NUIWV communicated for Info-Prim Neo that the monument was built in memory of the soldiers of the Motorized Infantry Troop from Balti – Vladimir Macariuc and Vladimir Nazarco. According to him, the monument was raised due to the support of the Union and especially of its territorial organization.
The Head of the National Army’s General Staff, Ion Corobceanu, Balti’s Mayor Vasile Panciuc, representatives of NUIWV from Chisinau, Balti, Soroca, Floresti etc, relatives and friends of the two heroes participated at the event.
Vladimir Macarciuc and Vladimir Nazarco have fallen on June 20, 1992 in Tighina, during the armed conflict on the Nistru. Vladimir Nazarco was married and had two children.
