The children up to the age of 18 will receive a monthly allowance from the state. Parliament on February 7 gave a first reading to a bill to this effect, IPN reports.
The size of the state monthly allowance, the method of setting and paying this will be agreed by the Government.
To take effect, the bill needs to be adopted by Parliament after giving it a final reading.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, there were almost 676,00 children in Moldova at the end of 2018.
