The candidate of the Democratic Party (PDM) for the post of mayor of Chisinau Monica Babuc entered the campaign prior to the June 14 local elections. Monica Babuc said she joined in the electoral race only for the sake of the residents of Chisinau, whom she will not deceive with great projects that remain unimplemented.

“My objective is clear and concrete - less politics and more good deeds. I know the real problems of the city, which many pretend not to see even if they are right in front of them,” stated the candidate.

Monica Babuc also said that she will keep away from electoral and political disputes. “I realize that I enter a political competition where some will show their vainglory. I have some news for my opponents - because I respect the people living in Chisinau, who are sick and tired of scandals and violence, even if verbal, I will take part in no political dispute and will respond to no challenge in this campaign,” she stated.

The team of the PDM will soon present the plan of measures for Chisinau, which was worked out by the Democratic experts.

Monica Babuc will leave the post of minister of culture immediately after she is registered as an election runner by the Chisinau District Electoral Council.
