School students are expected to take part in the financial education event "Road of Money” on November 29, which marks the Moldovan leu’s day. The "journey" will start at the central bank, where children and young people eager to learn about the national currency, its role in history and the economy are awaited. The event is staged by the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) and licensed banks, IPN reports.
The NBM says that the event is designed to affirm in the public space the understanding of developments in the financial environment for the growth of a new generation of consumers - informed, responsible and rational. At the central bank, participants will visit the exhibition hall of the National Bank, the collection of commemorative and jubilee coins, and will discuss financial-banking topics with experts of the central bank.
The second part of the excursion will take place at one of the licensed banks in Chisinau, which are preparing for visitors interactive presentations on what could be useful for young consumers in making financial decisions.
Participation will be possible by preregistration. Groups of up to 30 children over the age of 12 will be organized. Students will be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for minors’ safety during the trip. Applications can be sent by Monday, November 25, to edufin@bnm.md. Visits will be organized on the hour, said the NBM.
The financial education event "Road of Money” reached its fifth edition this year.
