22 million lei approved recently by Chisinau Municipal Council for repairing the buildings of pre-university institutions were distributed almost equally to all districts. Thus, depending on the needs, the education institutions of Botanica district will benefit from 4,29 million lei, those of Buiucani – 3,53 million lei, in Centru district – 3,225 million, Ciocana - 3,18 million lei and Rascani - 3,89 million lei. Education, Science, Youth and Sport Department got 3,885 million lei for this purpose. The allocated amounts will be distributed in two steps: 7 and 15 million lei. According to the decision of Chisinau Municipal Council, already in force, the repairing works have to be finished until 25 October 2006. According to the press release of the mayoralty of Chisinau municipality, the financial means shall be used especially for repairing the roofs, technical-sanitary groups and heating systems, as well as repairing of electric power lines. The chairman of the Commission for education, social and health protection, Vasile Parasca, noted that the allotted money of municipal budget are insufficient for resolving all the problems that the schools of the capital deal with. Even the commission required from the Municipal Council to allocate additionally 100 million lei for repairing the pre-university schools, this request was rejected. There are working about 140 pre-university institutions in municipality Chisinau.
