Thursday’s Parliament session began with a moment of silence in connection with the March 22 terrorist attack in a suburb of Moscow, which left 143 dead and over 200 wounded, IPN reports.
“According to preliminary data from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, among the victims is a female citizen from the left bank of the Nistru. We strongly condemn the terrorist attack in Moscow and offer our condolences to the families of those who died in the terrorist attack,” said Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu.
On the evening of March 22, gunmen opened fire at people in the Crocus City Hall music venue in Krasnogorsk, a Moscow suburb. Footages from the scene filmed by eyewitnesses showed civilians running in fear, while others were lying motionless in puddles of blood outside the concert hall. The fire that started as a result of explosions claimed lives and destroyed a large part of the building. The authorities in Moscow arrested four suspected attackers.
