The nurseries of the local forestry entities of Moldsilva Agency will put up for sale, starting with December 2, 46,000 pines and fir trees and over 48,000 coniferous twigs, IPN reports.

Prices depend on the size and costs associated with the growing of trees. For example, for softwood trees with a height of 1-1.5 meters, the price starts from 60-180 lei, Moldsilva said.

The largest quantities of conifers are available from the forestry enterprises in Iargara, Hâncești, Tighina, Călărași, Strășeni, Glodeni, and Edineț.

During this period, forest guarding and protection is intensified and raids in forests are organized. Illegal felling of trees in forests or other green spaces is punishable by fines of 2,500 to 5,000 lei for individuals, while legal entities face fines of 15,000 to 25,000 lei or community service.
