Moldova’s representative at Eurovision to perform in Malmö today

Moldova’s representative at the Eurovision Song Contest Natalia Barbu will take the stage in Malmö, Sweden, on Tuesday, May 7. The singer will compete the eleventh in the first semifinal with the song “In the middle”, IPN reports.

According to Teleradio-Moldova, which is a member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and the local organizer of Eurovision, 14 other countries will contend in the first semifinal alongside Moldova. These are: Cyprus, Serbia, Lithuania, Ireland, Ukraine, Poland, Croatia, Iceland, Slovenia, Finland, Azerbaijan, Australia, Portugal, and Luxembourg.

In the second semifinal on May 9, the competitors from Malta, Albania, Greece, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Austria, Denmark, Armenia, Latvia, San Marino, Georgia, Belgium, Estonia, Israel, Norway, and the Netherlands will take the stage.

The final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will be held on May 11.


Last year, Moldova was represented by Pasha Parfeni, who ranked 18th in the grand final with the song “The Sun and the Moon”. Moldova’s best result at Eurovision was in 2017, when the band SunStroke Project won the third place with the song “Hey Mamma”.
