Moldova’s energy strategy will be discussed with EU
Representatives of Moldova and the EU will discuss final aspects, with the European Commission’s support, of the Energy Strategy of Moldova until 2020, as part of the 5-th meeting of the Subcommittee of Cooperation Moldova – European Union regarding issues related to “Transport, energy, environment, informational society, education, science and research, health”, which will be held in Chisinau on April 23-24.
The meeting’s agenda also includes Moldova’s participation in the Energy Community Treaty; adjustment of the regulatory national framework in the field of telecommunications to European standards, in particular by modifying the draft law on electronic communications in compliance with the recommendations of international experts; elaboration of sustainable national policy on transport; evolutions in health, environment, science and innovation.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, at the meeting the experts of national public institutions and of European Commission will discuss in detail the aspects of implementation of Moldova-EU Action Plan’s provisions in the abovementioned fields.
The evolutions regarding the implementation of Moldova-EU Action Plan are being discussed by experts as part of four Subcommittees of Cooperation Moldova – European Union. The Subcommittee no.4 covers the largest number of fields in the Moldovan-EU dialogue.
