Moldova's Church to stage Cross Procession around Chisinau

“A Procession of Cross and Expiation” will be organized by the Metropolitan Church of Chisinau and Entire Moldova around Chisinau on Friday and Sunday, the priest Octavian Mosin has confirmed for Info-Prim Neo.
The Cross Procession will start by reading prayers to Virgin Mary at the City Gates at 7 a.m. on Friday and will proceed all the day and night within the city.
The Orthodox believers will halt at churches in Ciocana district at 11.00, at the St. Lazarus Cemetery - 15.00, in Buiucani district at 20.00, and in the Schinoasa neighborhood at 24.00.
On Saturday, July 19, the ceremony will end at 7.30 by a thanksgiving Te Deum service at the Lord's Birth Metropolitan Cathedral in Chisinau's downtown.
