Moldova beat Romania 3:0 in their third Euro Beach Soccer League (EBSL) in Group A. Earlier our national team bested Malta and England, with the same score of 4:1.
Leonid Podlesnov was the one to open the scoring in the 27th minute. Four minutes later Romania’s Andrei Brașoveanu scored an own goal, and three minutes later still, Grigore Cojocari rounded off the scoring.
This third consecutive win takes Moldova to the top of Group A and secures our promotion to EBSL Division A.
On Saturday, Moldova will face Greece in the semifinals.
For the second consecutive year, Moldova is hosting the EBSL Division B on the world-class stadium in La Izvor Park. Besides the Moldovan hosts, Turkey, Greece, Romania, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, England, Denmark, Norway, Malta, Latvia and Georgia are also competing.
