Moldovans will be able to travel to Ecuador without entry visas

The agreement between the Government of Moldova and the Government of Ecuador concerning visa-free travel came into force, IPN reports.

The announcement was made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Europe Integration. Under the agreement, the citizens of both of the states are exempted from the obligation to hold visas for entering, leaving, crossing and remaining on the territory of the other state for a period of up to 90 days during six months of the first entry.

The exemption from short-stay visas does not allow the citizens to become employed on the territory of the other state. The national legislation stipulates the conditions needed for working visits, studies, research, education, reunification of the family and for long stays.

The agreement between the two governments was signed on October 30, 2012.
