The Moldovan citizens in Israel can convert their driver's licenses. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the Agreement on the Conversion Procedures, concluded in Jerusalem on March 20, entered into force on October 27, IPN reports.
Thus, citizens of the Republic of Moldova residing in Israel can exchange their Moldovan driver’s licenses of categories A, A1, A2 and B without taking theory or practical tests. The exchanged driver's license will be returned to the authority that issued it.
Under the Moldovan-Israeli agreement, the authenticity of the documents will be verified directly between the competent Moldovan and Israeli institutions by contacting the issuing authority. Thus, according to the MFA, administrative procedures are simplified and costs and execution time are reduced.
