Moldovan Speaker pays visit to Paris

Speaker of Parliament, Marian Lupu, is on a visit to Paris from October 2 to 26, to follow a number of meetings with French officials. According to Parliament’s Press and Image Service, the visit aims at tightening bilateral relations, specifically, deepening parliamentary connections and pursuing commitments within the frameworks of the RM-EU individual Action Plan. The visit agenda includes meetings with Abdou Diouf, Secretary General of the International Organization of the French-speaking world (OIF), Colin Cameron, Secretary General of the Western European Union Assembly, Jean-Louis Debre, President of French National Assembly, Josselin de Rohan, head of the centre-right majority party UMP in the French Senate, Hubert Haenel, president of Delegation for the EU at the French Senate, Serge Vincon, chair of the Senate’s committee for foreign affairs, Philippe Faure, Secretary General of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Jean-Marc Ayrault, President of the Socialist Group in the National Assembly. The Moldovan delegation will participate in debates at the French Institute of International Relations. The delegation also includes Efim Agachi, democrat MP, member of the Committee for Appointments and Immunity, Vlad Cubreacov, leader of PPCD faction, vice-chairman of the Committee for foreign politics and European integration, Alexandru Lipcan, AMN deputy, secretary of the Committee for National Security and Public Order, Grigore Petrenco, PCRM deputy, member of the Committee for economic policy, budget and finances.
