A National Army contingent, together with servicemen from other states, started to perform missions within the active phase of the multinational exercise “Sea Breeze 2015” that is held in Ukraine. On September 8-11, the exploration platoon of Peacekeeping Battalion No. 22 will be deployed on an island, where it will explore the territory and identify the enemy, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Defense

The Moldovan contingent’s superior, Major Ion Cozma said the exploration company of the Motorized Infantry Brigade “Dacia” will simultaneously ensure mobile and land patrolling in the area of responsibility. Earlier, the Moldovan servicemen were trained by their Ukrainian and American colleagues how to embark military equipment on ship and how to unload it, how to manage a crowd and to provide first aid on a battlefield.

This year Moldova takes part in “Sea Breeze” with 102 servicemen and 17 pieces of equipment of the National Army. The multinational exercise “Sea Breeze 2015” is held in Ukraine between August 30 and September 12. It brings together servicemen from 14 states.
