The national team of Moldova won three silvers and six bronzes at the Juniors and Youth European Sambo Championship that was held in Greece, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Ministry of Youth and Sport financed the trip to the European Championship only for three of the 20 Moldovan athletes. The others paid for the trip out of their own pockets or received allowances from the local public authorities. Aliona Mereuta (44 kg class), Ana Bulat (70 kg) and Cristina Gasca (60 kg) won silver medals among the juniors, while Dumitru Bulai (62 kg), Anatol Poiag (100 kg), Vadim Bocan (74 kg), Elena Pavlenco (80 kg), Tatiana Osoianu (48 kg) and Maria Bostan (56 kg) won bronzes in the youth competitions.
