Moldovan parliamentarians join NATO Parliamentary Assembly's spring session
A delegation of the Moldovan Parliament participates in the spring session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, unfolding in Berlin from May 23 to 27. The delegation is led by deputy speaker Iurie Rosca, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The order of the day contains debates on the political priorities agenda and the partnerships of NATO, matters regarding Kosovo and the future of security in the Balkans, the security in Central Asia, the energy security and the religion in the Black Sea area etc.
The Berlin reunion is to be joined by some 340 MPs from the 26 NATO countries and from 20 non-member countries as Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Afghanistan, Pakistan etc.
The NATO Parliamentary Assembly is an inter-parliamentary structure independent from NATO, offering a cooperation frame between NATO and the parliaments of the non-member countries tackling subjects of common interest in the areas of security, politics, economy etc.
