The Moldovan judokas had a good performance at the Junior European Cup that was held in Sarajevo. Moldova took the eighth position in the medals rankings with a gold medal and two silvers, IPN reports.

The gold was won by Ion Nacu in the 73 kg weight class after scoring four victories. In the final, he even beat his compatriot Victor Sterpu. Catalin Marian won silver in the 66 kg class. After four victories, he lost only to Italy’s Mattia Miceli.

The other Moldovan judokas ranked as follows: Adrian Costru and Eugen Matveiciuc – fifth; Adil Osmanov and Vadim Zaharia - seventh.
