Moldovan experts are discussing, already the second day, in Moscow about the possibility of resuming the exports of Moldovan wines. The president of the Moldovan wine exporters Union, Gheorghe Cozub told Info-Prim Neo that the Moldovan delegation left for Moscow at the initiative of Russian partners, who presented for the first time this proposal after March 27, when the wine exports have been halted. Gheorghe Cozub mentioned that the delegation, leaded by the head of the Inspectorate monitoring the alcoholic production, Andrei Gurin, will discuss the necessary actions that must be undertaken in order to resume exports and unblocking the stocks of wine from Russia. Besides this, the quoted source says that the experts will make all the necessary efforts to prove the Moldovan wines’ excellent quality, and will discuss the actions needed in order to stop the exports of counterfeited wines. “It is for the first time when the Russian side wants to discuss this issue, so we hope to obtain the results we expect”, Cozub said. The prohibition on the exports of Moldovan wines on the Russian market started on March 27, 2006, when the Chief Sanitary Doctor, Ghenadie Oniscenko forbade the commercialization of wines produced in Moldova, justifying his decision by the fact that the wines are dangerous to one’s health.
