Moldovan citizens take out insurance against death and sickness very seriously
Moldovan people start spending on life, health and accident insurances more and more. Data from State Inspectorate for Insurance Supervision and Non-State Pension Funds shows that in nine months of the current year, the insurance companies raised optional insurance premiums for persons in the amount of MDL 47.34 mln, by 35% more compared with the similar period of the last year.
The health insurances account for the largest demand – MDL 14.23 mln, by 37% more.
For the life insurances, in nine months of the current year, there were paid premiums to the total sum of MDL 13.59 mln, increasing by almost 39% compared with the similar period of last year. The life insurances taken against death, account for about MDL 11 mln.
Another important chapter is the insurances against accidents – MDL 13.52 mln. This type of insurances went up by about 39%.
