The national Paralympic team of the Republic of Moldova won nine medals at the European Para Youth Games that were hosted by the city of Brno in the Czech Republic. The best result was achieved by Victoria Rotaru, who ranked first in para-athletics in the shot put and 150 g ball throwing events, IPN reports.
In the shot put and 150 g ball throwing events, athlete Alexandra Cerchez ranked second. Eva Osadchaya won a silver medal in 50m freestyle and a bronze medal in 100m backstroke.
In the men’s para-athletics, Maxim Ciobanu won the shot put competition. Vladimir Shamanov finished the 100 m race first, while Adrian Zabulica won a silver medal in the shot put.
