The national Under-21 football team of Moldova suffered the second defeat in the qualifying competition of the 2019 UEFA European Championship. The team trained by Danut Oprea was demolished by Greece 1-5, IPN reports.
Galanopoulos opened the score in the 7th minute, but Cararus tied in the 34th minute. Koulouris scored in the overtime of the first half, placing Greece in an advantageous position. After the break, Manthatis, Androutsos and the same Koulouris led the score to 5-1.
As a result of this failure, Moldova slipped to the fourth spot in the rankings, with three points after three matches played. On October 5, Moldova plays the next match at home, against Greece, which holds the lead in the group with six points.
