The national U-21 football team of Moldova suffered a 1-3 loss to the similar squad of Belarus away within the qualifying rounds of the 2019 European Championships, IPN reports.
Moldova was leading 1-0 before the break after Pavlovets scored an own goal in the 32rd minute. Antilevskii tied in the 70th minute. Three minutes later, Volkov scored for Belarus. The same Antilevskii set the scoreline in the 88th minute, transforming a penalty kick.
“Regrettably, the made changes didn’t help us, but weakened the game,” Moldova manager Danut Oprea told a news conference.
Moldova plays the next match against the Czech Republic at home on November 14.
