The Republic of Moldova will host the qualifying competition of the 2020 World Futsal Championship. Moldova will learn its opponents on December 12, when a draw will be held, IPN reports.
The matches will be played during January 29 – February 3. The teams will be divided into eight groups. The final tournament will involve 32 national futsal teams.
In the evening of December 4, Moldova played a friendly match away against Bulgaria and scored a 8-3 victory. The goals for Moldova were scored by Andrian Lașcu (2nd, 17th, 36th, 38th minutes), Sergiu Tacot (12th, 16th), Cristian Obadă (31st) and Petra Radev (15th, own goal). On December 5, the team trained by Vladimir Vusatyi plays a new friendly against Bulgaria.
