Moldova takes over PABSEC presidency on Monday
Moldova will assume the presidency of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) within the framework of the 31st general assembly of the organization, to take place during June 9-11 in the Greek capital of Athens, Info-Prim Neo learned from the Moldovan Parliament’s press unit.
Speaker Marian Lupu is going to head a legislative delegation to the Meeting of the heads of parliament of the PABSEC Member Countries – the Parliamentary Summit "Achievements and Prospects for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation in the Wider Black Sea Area" – and to the 31st General Assembly.
Marian Lupu will hold a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Greece, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Turkey, with the deputy head of the Russian Duma and with the vice president of the European Parliament. The Moldovan delegation includes the MPs Nicolae Bondarciuc and Marcel Raducan.
The Summit is planned to result in the adoption of a Declaration on the 15th anniversary of PABSEC.
