An agreement on economic and technical cooperation between the Government of Moldova and the Government of the United Arab Emirates and a memorandum of understanding on bilateral political consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of the two states were signed on January 30 during Prime Minister Pavel Filip’s visit to the United Arab Emirates, IPN reports.
According to the Government’s press service, the signed agreement envisions the development of the partnership relations in such areas as trade in goods and services, investments, industry, agriculture, infrastructure and others. The sides agreed to set up a joint economic commission for fostering the bilateral economic relations.
The memorandum of understanding on bilateral political consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of the two states will contribute to establishing an inter-institutional cooperation mechanism.
The Government of Moldova and the Government of the United Arab Emirates so far have signed four bilateral agreements in the economic, investment, diplomatic and air sectors.
