Moldova sees lowest industrial production growth among CIS states
The industrial output in Moldova over January-August 2007 rose by 0.4% compared with the corresponding period last year. This is the lowest growth among the CIS member states, according to the Interstate Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Azerbaijan saw the highest industrial production growth rate, of 32.7%. It is followed by Ukraine with about 11%, Tajikistan and Belarus with approximately 8% each, Russia with 7%. The industrial growth in Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan was between 1.7% and 5.8%.
The Interstate Statistical Committee of the CIS does not possess information about Georgia, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan.
