After playing three matches against Andorra, the UK and the Czech Republic, the national beach soccer team was eliminated from Euroleague Beach Soccer League-2013, scoring one victory against Andorra 6:3, IPN reports.

The national team’s captain Ruslan Istrati, who is an employee of the Chisinau water utility, scored a good result. In the match against Andorra, in the decisive moment he scored from his goal to the opponent’s goal, “Apa-Canal Chisinau announced in a communiqué.

Ruslan Istrati has played soccer football and futsal during over seven years. As he is also the goalkeeper of a private club, throughout summer he will take part in the Beach Soccer Championship in Vadul lui Voda.

Euroleague Beach Soccer League-2013 was held in Valence, France on June 21-23. This is not the first participation of the Moldovan team in such a competition. The best result until now was scored two years ago, when the national team played in the World Cup quarterfinals.
