Moldova reaffirms its priorities in the dialogue with EU
The primary issues in the agenda of the relations between Moldova and the European Union (EU) during the Portuguese presidency will be strengthening of the political dialogue with the EU, including by the EU-Moldova Troika format discussions, finishing of the procedures for obtaining the Autonomous Trade Preferences, expansion of the cooperation in the energy sector by jointly implementing the Energy Strategy, capitalisation of the new cooperation potential with the European Investment Bank to develop infrastructure.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MFAEI reaffirmed these priorities on the occasion of Portugal’s European Union Presidency, specifying that the start of the procedure for capitalising the recent decision on expanding the participation of Moldova in the European Programmes will have a special significance in the context of intensifying the cooperation relations with EU.
MFAEI welcomes the presidency of Portugal which will start on July 1, 2007. It will have an important role in strengthening the results of the European Council of June 21-22, especially in what concerns the activity of the Intergovernmental Conference on EU Treaty, the press release of the Ministry says, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
