The Government of Moldova approved the initiation of negotiations and signing of a financial cooperation agreement with the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany, through exchange of notes, IPN reports.

Based on this agreement, Germany will offer Moldova €10 million in financial assistance for supporting the Sanitation Initiative Project that is implemented by the Reconstruction Credit Institute (KfW) to build additional sanitary infrastructure in Cahul municipality.

The project will have a favorable impact on the environment and will contribute to local economic and social development, says the informative note to the agreement.
