Moldova might 'fall out of map' after elections
“The Republic of Moldova runs the risk of falling out of the map in the event of a great disillusionment following the parliamentary elections on November 28”, stated Dan Dungaciu, presidential adviser for European integration matters, at a televised program. He specified that the disillusionment could come from the European Union, which has put much hope in Moldova's European integration endeavor.
“The EU hasn't bet on a particular political party, it is rather a project that was best represented by the Alliance for European Integration. The Alliance has taken its endeavor in earnest and if this EU-endorsed project is discontinued, I'm afraid there is going to be much disillusionment after November 28”, said the presidential adviser.
Dan Dungaciu said the Republic of Moldova has benefited from a very positive conjuncture.
“Of course we will not see crowds of European officials cry on Brussels's streets and naturally the dialogue will continue at a normal level, but the disappointment will be huge; Moldova won't have another chance really”, said Dungaciu.
