Moldova maintain position in FIFA rankings
Moldova maintained its position in the world countries’ ranking, published on Wednesday, May 18, by the International Football Federation (FIFA), Info-Prim Neo reports.
Moldova were ranked 86th, with 394 points. It’s no surprise, as the Tricolors haven’t played a single match over the last month. Their next fixture is on June 3, when they take on Sweden in Chisinau, within the Euro 2012 qualifiers.
The Dutch are the highest-ranked among Moldova’s group rivals, being second. Sweden are 28th, Hungary 52nd, Finland 81st and San Marino are the bottom side- 203rd.
World and European champions Spain top the list, followed by Netherlands and Brazil.
