The national futsal team of Moldova made a good start in the qualifying competition of the 2016 World Championship. Vladimir Vusaty’s squad trounced Andorra 7-0, IPN reports.
Cristian Obada scored three times, Andrei Negara two times, while Alexandr Timbalist and Alexei Munteanu by one goal. “It is only a first step towards qualification. We must remain as focused,” coach Vladimir Vusatyi told a news conference.
In the evening of October 23, Moldova meets Gibraltar, which was demolished by Georgia 1-15 on the first day of the competition. Only the group winner qualifies for the second round. The matches are played at the Futsal Arena FMF in Ciorescu village of Chisinau municipality.
