Moldova wants to accelerate the reforms aimed at modernizing the country and to make faster progress on the path of European integration. That’s why the state counts a lot on the support and expertise of the EU and the international partners for strengthening the institutional capacities and improving the cooperation between Parliament and the Government in the implementation of the Association Agenda, Speaker Andrian Candu said in a meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway Tove Bruvik Westberg, IPN reports.
The Head of Parliament said the better synchronization of the activities between the legislature and the executive, from the first stages, will facilitate the adjustment of the national legislation to the Community acquis and will ensure a high-quality lawmaking process, as expected by the people and the investors.
Andrian Candu thanked the Norwegian authorities for the generous support provided to Moldova through the Norwegian Mission of Rule of Law Advisers to Moldova (NORLAM) and through a number of implemented projects of interest to the people.
His Excellence Tove Bruvik Westberg welcomed the Moldovan authorities’ determination to continue the reforms and assured that his country will continue to support Moldova in its European integration efforts.
