Moldelectrica assures that it is working to maintain the operation of the electricity transmission infrastructure in collaboration with system and transmission operators from neighboring countries. This clarification comes following statements by Prime Minister Dorin Recean, who said the company would be able to ensure a higher volume of electricity imports if needed, IPN report.
Moldelectrica highlights that since the beginning of November, it has successfully activated four high-voltage lines connecting Moldova to Romania. Currently, discussions are underway with Transelectrica on how to utilize these lines to increase electricity import volumes from Romania.
Additionally, Moldelectrica has reached out to system operators in Eastern EU countries to utilize unallocated capacity at the Ukraine-Moldova border as part of daily and intra-daily allocations at the Romania-Moldova border.
In preparation for potential needs, Moldelectrica has updated its manual disconnection lists and is readying them for possible activation. At the same time, the company urges citizens to remain calm and seek information from official sources to prevent misinformation.
