Moldavian citizens will benefit of Latvia visas free of charge
Latvia will offer free visas for the Moldavian citizens from the 1st of May until the country will join the Shenghen agreement.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from Riga, the Latvia Government approved on Tuesday, April 25 an initiative on this issue. The state taxes will not be requested in the case the visas will be offered for short-term or transit visas.
Previously between the Republic of Moldova and Latvia was signed an agreement that allows the Latvia citizens to visit the Republic of Moldova. If Chisinau will counter-order this regime, Moldavian citizens will not be able to benefit of free visas.
According to the MFA from Riga in 2005, 886 Moldavian citizens obtained Latvia visas, inclusively 275 free of charge.
