The state-run company MoldATSA (Moldovan Air Traffic Services Authority) will borrow 35 million lei from the Civic Aviation Authority for overcoming the financial difficulties is faces, IPN reports, quoting a decision approved by the acting Government.
The loan will be provided in four monthly tranches, 20 million of which in 2015. It will be repaid by September 1, 2016.
Thus, MoldATSA is freed from paying penalties imposed on it for not transferring the payments for supervising the maintenance of the certification conditions to the Civic Aviation Authority on time, for the period from December 1, 2014 until now.
Recently, MoldATSA announced that this April, following a decision taken by a Brussels court within the case of Komstroy vs Moldova, the financial resources of MoldATSA in Europe were blocked. The company said that it has no direct or indirect relation to this case and became a victim of the judicial system. It remained without its main source of income and the air traffic management system could thus be blocked.
