Starting with September 14, mobile teams to inform the population about the importance and benefits of vaccination will travel to the districts of Leova, Drochia, Sângerei, ATU Gagauzia, Glodeni, and Taraclia. In total, the teams will reach 24 settlements in the Republic of Moldova during four months, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the Ministry of Health.
The first six districts with the lowest vaccination rate that were visited by mobile teams of specialists through the agency of the “Health Bus” were Ștefan Vodă, Anenii Noi, Cahul, Briceni, Cantemir, Fălești, and Nisporeni.
Doctors forming part of the mobile teams went to each health center, from home to home, and discussed with people the safety and efficiency of the vaccines that are currently available in the Republic of Moldova, debunked the myths and answered all the questions related to vaccines and immunization.
The information campaign was launched on August 4 and is carried out as part of the World Bank’s Emergency COVID-19 Response Project. Over 722,000 persons have been fully vaccinated in Moldova so far.
