Mihai, a 7-year-old boy from the village of Peresecina, went to school for the first time this fall. His challenges are many - new colleagues, a new place in the school bench, he should get used to, lessons to learn and the first homework. To cope with these things, without losing their enthusiasm, it is much easier for children when they have a friendly book at hand.

Along with 999 other children from all over the country, Mihai will receive a set of books  "Plaiul meu natal" and "Tara mea Moldovă - Floare" written by Stela Cemortan, Ph.D, author and coordinator of many concepts and normative documents in the field of preschool education.

Both books include age-specific poems and colorful illustrations being donated by Mobiasbanca - OTP Group S.A. The books aim at the harmonious development of the child's personality, which, with the help of adults, will gradually form cognitive-verbal and social-affective behaviors, all of which are important for school start.

Books have been distributed in the Center, North and South of the country, to children from socially vulnerable families, as well as boarding centers for children. The institutions and beneficiaries have been identified in cooperation with the Local Public Authorities and Mobiasbanca’s employees, working in the regional branches.

"Through this initiative we tend to cultivate children’s love for new beginnings and discoveries. At the same time, we want to support families in their efforts to educate their children. We have ongoing projects that support innovation in education and ensure access to it, regardless of age, gender or social position. The feeling that each little book will reach the right child and will contribute to his growth, gives us an accomplishment feeling along with other projects supported by Mobiasbanca -   like culture and arts, healthcare, sports and financial education.
