Mobiasbanca launches new payment card offer
Having acquired full membership in MasterCard, Moldovan bank Mobiasbanca is launching a new payment card offer, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the bank, its cards will be different from those typically issued in the Republic of Moldova thanks to the fact that there will be no minimum balance required. The offer consists of Cirrus Maestro, enabling payment in national currency, and MasterCard, with payment in national currency, US dollars, and Euro. Additionally, Mobiasbanca will soon launch the Gold card, with payment in national currency, and MasterCard Business, with payment in national currency and Euro.
Mobiasbanca's clients who have previously held Cirrus Maestro cards in Euro and US dollars will receive MasterCard, in Euro and US dollars, for free. The cards branded NEOS will be replaced by Cirrus Maestro and MasterCard brands. The holders of Trinity cards with multi-currency payment solutions will receive in place a set of 3 cards branded Cirrus Maestro or MasterCard. The ATU cards will offer students on stipend the same opportunities to take out loans in the framework of the Your Mobias Program.
Mobiasbanca assures its clients that the old cards will be replaced absolutely free of charge. The currently held cards will be operational until October 10, 2008, after which the balance will be transferred to the newly issued cards. If a client fails to exchange the old cards for new ones until October 10, it will be possible to receive new cards after the expiry of this deadline, yet no payment operations will be possible.
The availability period of the new cards will be two years and may be automatically extended.
With the new offer, Mobiasbanca promises better rates and terms.
