CB “Mobiasbanca - Groupe Société Générale” S.A. celebrated 25 years since its foundation in a very special party on June 3, along with over 400 guests - clients and partners of the bank, representatives of diplomatic missions and central public institutions. The event was held in a festive atmosphere with refined music and silver mimes who greeted the guests.
The celebration of this important anniversary began in May, when CB “Mobiasbanca - Groupe Société Générale” S.A. kicked off the events within a press conference marking a quarter century of successes and achievements.
Traditionally, the whole anniversary event was governed by the bank's core values - team spirit, innovation, responsibility and commitment through unique location, nature of the event and surprises prepared for guests.
The evening began with the speech of Mr. Ridha Tekaia, the President of the bank, who welcomed the audience and spoke about the importance of the experience on the country’s banking sector: "In 25 years of presence in Moldova, of which 8 years under Société Générale umbrella, we demonstrated day by day that we can have sustainable growth, performance and respected behavior in the banking sector. But nothing would have been possible without the team spirit, which is a key driver of our efficiency and enthusiasm. As part of the team I think about you, our shareholders, customers, partners and especially Mobiasbanca colleagues”.
Present at the event, Mr. Pirkka Tapiola, the Head of the European Union Delegation in the Republic of Moldova, said in his speech that Mobiasbanca and one of the most important European investor - Société Générale, have demonstrated that it is possible to activate and grow in Moldova, when a business is managed well, by the rules.
"As the representative of the European Union, I would like that Mobiasbanca work experience in Moldova, will pave the way for more competition in the banking sector, to come more investors - European and international banks. Also, I would like more transparency, equitable justice and a better economic and social future for Moldova", said the official.
A congratulatory message was sent also by the President of Moldova, Mr. Nicolae Timofte, who reiterated that in a time when a part of our banking system showed signs of weakness, Mobiasbanca - Groupe Société Générale looks like a benchmark of stability and security. The participation in the development of entrepreneurship and in various social activities, such as support the education, arts and science, are worthy of appreciation.
The highlight of the evening was the inauguration of a metal sculpture designed and created by young sculptor Alexander Coicev - one of the heroes discovered within the project "150 Moldovans. Discover Moldova" launched by the bank in 2014. Mr. Ridha Tekaia wanted to emphasize that sculpture reflected in an innovative way Mobiasbanca’s value - Groupe Société Générale: team spirit, innovation, responsibility and commitment. At the same time, expresses gratitude to all our customers, partners and employees of the bank for trust and loyalty.
Within the event, guests had the opportunity to admire a collection of silver jewelry created by graduates of the College "Mondostud-Art" from Chisinau, whom CB “Mobiasbanca - Groupe Société Générale” S.A. offered 10 stands, for participation at the national and international exhibitions, and thus reconfirming the status of a social responsible bank.
