Mobiasbanca advance financial education in Moldova


CB "Mobiasbanca - Groupe Société Générale" S.A. teamed up with AVI-Moldova and the  Development Facility of the European Fund for Southeast Europe to develop a financial education project among young people in Republic of Moldova with regard to increase the financial culture, develop the skills of money management and secure cashless banking.

The “My First Card” campaign ran from October to December 2018 in twelve educational establishments, in several cities across the country. Under Mobiasbanca’s specialists supervision, who became voluntarily teachers, were hold a series of workshops, with important insights on financial management and banking tools, the benefits of usage a bankcard and online banking security, reaching more than a thousand participants across the country.

“The decision to support this project came naturally and aims to encourage students to get more information about non-cash payments and to penetrate this field with support of the professionals. We believe it is a good informational support for financial education in the digital and cashless era, designed to ease everyday life. Mobiasbanca supports several projects promoting innovation and aimed at opening up new horizons for professional and even entrepreneurial opportunities for young people,” said Stela Ciobanu, Mobiasbanca General Secretary.
