Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, had a telephone conversation with Gideon Sa'ar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel, during which they conferred on the recent developments in the Middle East. The focus was on the terrorist attack in the United Arab Emirates, which led to the murder of Rabbi Zvi Kogan, a citizen of the Republic of Moldova and Israel, IPN reports.
"We condemn the terrorist attack that led to the death of Rabbi Kogan, an act of exceptional gravity, which cannot be tolerated in any form," said Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi.
For his part, Minister Gideon Sa'ar thanked for the solidarity expressed by the Republic of Moldova and for the cooperation in managing this tragic situation. The Israeli counterpart stressed the importance of international cooperation in combating terrorism and promoting a stable security environment for all citizens, regardless of nationality.
The officials also discussed the progress made in the bilateral Moldovan-Israeli relations and explored possibilities of developing them.
