Minister for Romanians everywhere to visit Moldova

Cristian David, minister delegate of the Romanian Foreign Ministry for Romanians everywhere will pay a visit to Moldova on March 27 – 29. He will have meetings with politicians and senior officials, IPN reports, quoting a press release from the Embassy of Romania.

The Romanian minister will meet with President Nicolae Timofti, acting Prime Minister Vlad Filat, Head of Parliament Marian Lupu as well as acting Foreign Minster Iurie Leanca, acting Minister of Education Maia Sandu, acting Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Popov, and the head of the Office for Relations with the Diaspora Victor Lutenco.

The official will also have meetings with lawmakers of the Liberal Democratic Party, the Democratic Party and the Liberal Party, including the Liberal leader Mihai Ghimpu, and with people of culture, university lecturers, opinion leaders, and other Moldovan personalities.

Cristian David will take part in the signing of the partnership agreement between the Galati-based University “Lower Danube” and the Academy of Music, Theater and Plastic Arts of Chisinau for creating the University Consortium “Moldova Arts”. He will also visit the Consular Section of the Romanian Embassy in Chisinau.
