The striker of Moldova’s national football team Nicolae Milinceanu scored his first goal for Petrolul. He thus helped the team from Ploiesti to qualify for the next round of Romania’s Cup, after the second-division team Unirea Tarlungeni was demolished 6-0, IPN reports.
Milinceanu entered the field in the 76th minute and scored when he first came into possession of the ball. The 23-year-old player also contributed to the sixth goal scored by Lemnaru. “I’m glad that I managed to score for Petrolul. I hope I will do it in the championship as well,” Nicolae Milinceanu stated for IPN.
On September 26, Petrolul plays away against Viitorul Constanta, which is trained by Gheorghe Hagi.
Nicolae Milinceanu was in the lineup of the national football team of Moldova for the last two matches, against Austria and Montenegro, where he created the biggest chances of scoring. Earlier he played for Veris, with which he reached the final of Moldova’s Cup in 2013.
