Independent candidate for mayor of Chisinau Mihai Godea said the Alliance for European Integration (AEI) should wake up and initiate discussions on the reform content, Info-Prim Neo reports. “They have discussed a lot Moldova’s integration into the EU after the AEI took over, but we need functional institutions for this process to take place,” Mihai Godea told a news conference on May 31. He said that there is no time to lose as the Head of the European Union Delegation to Moldova Dirk Schuebel made it clear that the honeymoon in the Moldova-EU relations is over and determined steps should be taken to achieve the reform objectives. After Mihai Godea announced his intention to run for the mayoralty, he said the reforms stagnate and the AEI should consider what steps to take.
